Delicious Dogfood: How Rigor Just Reduced a Page Load Time 38% Using Zoompf

There’s a well known expression in the business world called dogfooding: actually using your own products in your business because (a) (hopefully) they’re good products and (b) using them helps you better understand your own customers. I know, I know…Crrraaaaazy idea!

Rigor and Zoompf are big believers in dogfooding, and now that Zoompf has joined Rigor, we’ve been actively using (and loving) Rigor tools for all our site monitoring. Similarly, Rigor has been using Zoompf to optimize its own site to great effect. In fact, today William Montgomery from the Rigor engineering team just published a great “first impressions” case study using Zoompf showing how he was able to decrease linked resources by 42% and improve page load time by 38% for one of the Rigor application pages using Zoompf. We love seeing success stories like this, so wanted to share his story with our readers as well.
