Greetings! While we’ve been pretty busy working with our great new teammates since our recent announcement of our acquisition by Rigor, I wanted to assure you we’re continuing to stay hard at work improving the Zoompf product. In fact, if you’re already an existing Rigor customer, you may have already been playing around with our new integration with the Rigor application. Expect a lot more news on that front in the weeks and months to come.

Today, though, I wanted to announce another new feature: Filtering!

Result Filtering is one of those features that is neither glamorous nor terribly exciting, but once you get used to it you can hardly live without. At Zoompf we actively “dogfood” our product day in and out, and not being able to filter and search our results was…well irking us.

No longer!

Yesterday we released searching and filtering options on each of the core performance snapshot result tables. Now you can easily search for a specific file name, file type, and even defect name. To see in action, simply open any of your existing performance snapshots and click the Content tab, or try this example. You’ll see a table like this:

filter1

Plug in any substring to search through your URLs, or optionally filter by file type as well.

filter2

This level of filtering is available on all the main tables shown in each of the tabs. You can also search on defect names in the Defects tab if, for example, you’re looking for a particular PNG defect optimization, compression bug, etc.

filter3

Just a small little feature, but one of those you may quickly wonder how you lived without.

Rest assured, we have much bigger updates coming soon, but we wanted to release this out sooner so everyone could benefit right away. If you have any other feature requests, or would like to see some new filtering options, feel free to contact us with your ideas!
